Category 5e (Cat5e / Category 5 enhanced) is a 350MHz rated cable that is designed to handle network speeds up to 1,000mbps (100m meters max). This cable uses 24AWG conductor made from bare, solid copper that are twisted into pairs to prevent interference and reduce cross talk. The LLDPE jacket has a CMX outdoor, UV-resistant rating meaning that it is designed to be used outdoors above the ground and can have direct exposure to the UV. This cable is UTP (unshielded twisted pair) and uses standard Cat5e rated RJ45 plugs, 110 blocks, or patch panels for termination.
